Got a very friendly welcome, and had requested a room with a view , if possible - and happily got one over looking the rolling countryside towards the Solway Firth. Breakfast was delicious, staff were very attentive, and meal set us up for our journey into the Lake District."

"Had an overnight stay , warm welcome lovely bar area great for sport , outside area was lovely, shame it had rained would have nice to have sat out there. We had the choice to eat in the bar or restaurant, we chose the restaurant which was small and cosy, the food was amazing, Blair the waiter is a credit to the hotel very pleasant as were the rest of the staff , thanks for a lovely stay"
