This was a lovely hotel with wonderful staff, but our room was a little small for two people. Also, the breakfast was delicious.

"Hotel was very nice and very close to theatres."
My husband and I stayed at the hotel and it was great and w/in walking distance of theatre district and a bit further to catch the Big Bus tour but worth the walk. Also it is centrally located to lots of great shopping and overall the staff was extremely helpful and provided information upon request.

"Best Hotel of the Whole Trip"
After traveling on a tour coach and staying at 8 or so hotels, this one is by far the best. Air Conditioning (it was surprisingly hot in the UK while we were there), very clean and modern. Definitely did NOT have a hostel feel to it, unlike the others. Drawbacks: bed was very firm and uncomfortable and the way the bathroom and showers are set up it's impossible to keep water from getting all over the bathroom floor. So don't take anything in there with you that would go on the floor.

"Nice hotel in a great location"
My daughter and I needed a hotel near the University so this hotel worked out great. Friendly staff with nice rooms. The rooms were small but clean. The only complaint is the beds need to be upgraded,

"Cheap (with offer), basic but cheerful and central"
An ok en-suite room, the built-in shower/toilet unit was quite compact but did the job. Very good price with the offer at the time. Breakfast was edible - a very basic continental, no ham/cheese just jam/marmalade or peanut butter, 5 choices of cereals, tea/coffee, juice, fruit, mini yoghurt and possible a croissant. Room service daily, sometimes twice a day. There were no 'do not disturb' door signs (if doing night-shift/out late).

"Good location, cheap"
This hotel is in a great location for the price that you pay per night. However, the facilities aren't great (poor condition) and the walls are so thin that you can hear what your neighbours are doing (not pleasant). When I was leaving I had to climb over several bags of laundry, with my suitcase, that were blocking the door. There is a notice in the room asking you not to leave any electronic equipment in the room or it may disappear. This made me feel very unsafe.

"Great boutique hotel with plenty of amenities "
The fresh decor was very nice and the rooms were clean and comfortable. They had great the extras--AC, refrigerator, nespresso machine, ceiling fan. The Dickens house and museum is nearby and a must-see. Also nearby is a streetmarket and many good restaurants of all varieties and prices. Nearest tube station is about a 5 min walk. the staff were very nice and helpful.

Pocket Guide: London Bloomsbury Independent Hotels

The fashionable residential district of Bloomsbury in central London, dotted with hushed Georgian garden squares, has drawn famous writers and philosophers through the centuries. Virginia Woolf and the Bloomsbury Set redefined the 20th-century novel here, and being the seat of the British Library and the British Museum, it was also where Charles Darwin formulated his historic theory of evolution.
