Park Plaza London Riverbank

Park Plaza London Riverbank

8/10 Good
"This will be my go to hotel when visiting London due to the river front location with amazing views and easy access to tube stations/riverside walks. Staff very friendly however we did have an issue with check in and couldn't understand what the problem was (something to do with the fact that the booking confirmation from Hotels.com had my husbands initial rather than full name) I was repeatedly asked for the booking reference which I provided but this didn't appear to be sufficient. I explained that we hadn't received any communication direct from the hotel as I booked through Hotels.com. Upon providing our driving licences the clerk seemed to be satisfied and we were given a complimentary early check in. The room was a good size and was clean however the dark furniture looked dated and worn out and could definitely do with replacing. We were surprised to find that the room did not have any USB charging points and only a couple of spare plug sockets. Reception did not have any USB plugs so we had to buy one to use in the room. Prior to travelling we joined the hotels environmental programme by opting out of daily housekeeping however needed to mention this at check in to claim the complimentary bottle of wine."
