"Absolutely faultless, I stayed for 2 nights and wish it was for longer. The King size bedroom was lovely and comfortable. A lovely touch of a fridge which was perfect for keeping things chilled whilst there for a few days. I even jumped at a discounted spa session offered on check in. Breakfast and evening meals were fantastic. The chef was very personable and offered to order items which I think was a great touch. All staff friendly and inviting. I will most definitely stay here again if it’s at the same price."

"Breakfast options were limited. Wifi was very poor, not strong enough to work on a laptop. Room was basic but did the job for one night. Clean throughout and staff were very friendly. "

"This is a beautiful hotel/pub with a breath taking view over the Dyfi estuary. Set in cottages built in 1750s it has lovely nooks and crannies and quirky floor levels but the beds and bathroom are all first class. Notes worth knowing, the Hotel is 100 yards from the Penhelig request train stop but the hotel does not have a carpark. There is a public carpark around the corner at £15.75 a day or a few on road parking free 6pm to 9am."

"Our family had an amazing week at the cottage. The place was a very decent size and very cosy with the large log burner lit. The area is very special with miles and miles of woodland and mountain walks directly from your door. Great views and even a steam train you can walk to. There are great beaches around 15 minutes away and the Llyn peninsula and mountains of Snowdonia are a short drive. If you like the outdoors I couldn’t recommend this place more highly. The hosts were very nice too."

"Hotel in brilliant position we had everything we needed. Atrium for breakfast with views of the whole of Llanberis was stunning. Breakfast very fresh and varied. Our only complaint would be evening meal did not come up to expectations. Advertised as served with salad. A flat bread with minute bits of salad. A disappointment.. Quite pricey. The hotel and staff were great. "
