Disappointing staff attitude.
The hotel is what it is, not a patch on the USA Hiltons but is summed up in one small incident.
I was at Crufts and wanted to have a shower.
The shower in my room didn't work and this caused a certain amount of inconvenience for me.
When I reported to reception the person just said. Thank you for reporting it.
No word of apology or small token of compensation. I had too much to do to make a formal complaint.
Can you imagine that happening in the USA. I actually din't want any compensation, just somebody to acknowledge that I had been inconvenienced and to show a small amount of concern,
The other thing which was apparent from this person was the look of distaste on her face when I mentioned to her that this was a unique event with so many dogs in the hotel.
The general attitude from this person was professional but unhelpful.
To put it simply. Her 'attitude was showing'.
not what you pay this sort of money for.
It also looks like the place has very clunky IT systems. Check in queues were very long whilst the reception staff were switching between different screens and waiting for the system to respond.
