Convenient location, ridiculous prices

Posted 17-Jul-2017
Convenient location with great transport links to Birmingham. Unfortunately due to its remote location the prices in the restaurant and bar are ridiculous, £19.50 for two glasses of white wine (actually asked for rose didn't even get that right). Staff knowledge of menu and wine choice was exceeding poor. I would be reluctant to stay here again, I've previously stayed at the crown plaza nearby, which was a much better experience

Pros: Good location, close to NEC. Good breakfast.
Cons: The cleanliness of the pool area especially the changing rooms in not adequate. The pool staff also not very helpful.
The hotel is very big, can take a while to get to the room if you don't get lost.

Noisy and over crowded

Posted 29-May-2017
Was given a room near to very loud music. So loud windows vibrated. TV in room did not work (fixed after calling). Lobby full of party goers. Ambulance on site at 0400 for them. Security people hanging around. Very over priced and would not recommend.

Single beds when booked a double room

Posted 23-May-2017
Pros: The bar area was ok.
Cons: Value for money.
Location: The NEC is excellent as is Resort World.
I paid a lot of money booking this hotel, I booked a double room for one person and I got two single beds on wheels. So as well as paying way over £200 for two nights I had to sleep in a single bed that moved around the room, I also paid for a night last minute for my colleague and got the same room for £76. Just to top it off the Hilton charged me £24 in parking as well. I stay at the NEC every year, next time I will make sure I book the premier inn which is 10 times better. The breakfast is also pants, this was shared by all other visitors.

Hotel Great - other guests NOT!

Posted 17-May-2017
Pros: The hotel is of the standard you would expect for The Hilton, the public rooms were beautiful with marble and glass and just sheer luxury everywhere.
Cons: The room was good but a little shabby in places, it would have been helpful to have a small fridge and a dressing gown, but maybe I am being picky now
Location: Didn't go out but its near the NEC so I am assuming lots to do
I was at the hotel for a 2 day conference, unfortunately my room was in the middle of another company that were there for the night and they seemed to party all night, from 1.15am to 4.00am there was shouting, laughing, doors banging, knocking on doors and running through the corridors looking for people and room parties. I have no objection to people having a good time but there was no respect for other guests at any time. so sleep for me was very limited and as a single lady traveller at times it felt quite frightening. I did mention it to the staff the following day and they were very apologetic. So my experience was over shadowed by this which was a shame

Wifi was unavailable, elevators don't work

Posted 27-Apr-2017
Pros: Millers restaurant staff and food.
Cons: The WiFi.
Location: We went to Warwick Castle, the Cadbury Factory, and SeaLife.
Throughout our entire stay of 5 days, the WiFi in our room was not connecting. My husband and I both spoke with the staff and their recommended that we go to the lounge or use the WiFi connection in the lobby if we needed to use the internet. This was not appropriate for us because we were traveling with 2 young children and it was not feasible for us to be in the lobby or the lounge all the time. As I mentioned earlier, we stayed in the hotel for 5 days. During those 5 days, only 1 of the 2 elevators worked. This meant longer waits for the elevator which was frustrating when we were running late to events with children. Also, we were unable to locate stairs that took us to the lobby. The room itself was comfortable and clean. We dined in the Miller's Restaurant twice. The staff provided exceptional service. They treated my family and me with unbelievable kindness and my husband and I appreciated that they did whatever they could to help keep our kids entertained. Our kids (age 1 and 4) loved the chicken nuggets and pancake dessert that was served. I had a chicken curry dish and apricot creme brulee which were both superb.

Will return!

Stayed here on Good Friday as we were going to see Disney On Ice opposite at the Genting Arena, literally a few minutes walk away! Perfect with a 2 year old in tow. Staff very friendly from check in, the lounge bar, millers, housekeeping and checkout. Looks a little grim from the outside but inside is the opposite end of the spectrum, modern but classic and clean! Thanks for the nice little touch on my sons bed and the activity pack for him at check in and in the restaurant. They came in handy!
