無料シャトルがあるので迷わない。快適。

Posted 27-Jan-2016
Pros: 朝食が美味しかった。
Cons: TV

A most enjoyable stay

Posted 26-Jan-2016
Had a most enjoyable Saturday night stay at the Hilton Metropole. Our family room, which overlooked the lake, was comfortable and spacious. The staff were friendly and gave the impression that nothing was too much trouble. Really liked the bus shuttle to the station. Love the Hilton breakfasts!

Great location, terrible service and tired rooms

Posted 23-Dec-2015
Pros: Location
Cons: Rooms, service provided. Upgrade mattresses. Remove parking for guests - paid £189 per night for room only and then got charge £9 for parking!
Location: Few minutes walk to NEC and lots bars and restaurants and casino within walking distance.
Booked a twin room expecting 2 double beds as most hotels of this standard have now. Pictures on website deceiving. Arrived and went to room to see 2 small single beds in a tired room. Tried to call reception no answer waited 25 minutes for lift as busy time with party guests going down. Got to receptionist to ask for upgrade or room change as was not expecting to sleep in a single bed! Only option was to move to a double room for disabled with a 'hospital like' wet room very dated and poor shower facility. Beds uncomfortable and bar service very slow with staff more interested in talking to each other than serving guests waiting at bar. Will not stay again as very expensive and not value for money. Crowne Plaza much better and half the cost!

Luxurious but......

Posted 12-Dec-2015
When you are paying so much for the room I don't understand why you have to pay £14 for the WiFi....it's ridiculous!!! It should automatically be available as a customer!

Hotel needs updating

Looks dated and is expensive for what you get. Food over priced. Helpful staff and good facilities.

Ideal for visiting the NEC

Posted 30-Nov-2015
Pros: Location
Cons: Rooms need to be checked properly before they are used
Location: We only used the hotel for the location to the NEC, but there are other venues very close by.
Staff were very friendly on arrival and in the bar/restaurant. Hotel it's self could do with a bit of a tidy up. The room we were in had a very wet carpet, near the window/air condition unit which made the room smell very damp, at first we thought someone had been smoking in there. We were offered a move but as we were only staying a couple of nights we didn't think it was worth the hassle. Food was to a good standard from the bar area.

It was the closest to the NEC but lacked comfort.

Posted 23-Nov-2015
Pros: The only thing that was positive was the quality of the food.
Cons: If you cannot see where from my experience, then maybe you should chose another career.
Location: I picked the location for the close access for the NEC. It is not near anything else of interest as far as I'm concerned.
On arrival I found that receptionist mixed up my bookings. Extra charge to park in the car park was a surprise. The room I was given had very poor lighting, so much so there were dark areas in the room. I had found I had a bathroom designed for someone with disabilities. no bath and a frame around the shower area with a folded up seat which gave less room in the shower in which you had to avoid knocking against when turning around. Internet access was charged extra and when using it was a weak signal to which it would drop out at times. So many added charges for so little. The TV was absolutely terrible. It was honestly like having a 1970's analogue TV. The picture was very poor only around 8 channels to which most were news channels unless you pay more again. Over all the fact that this is called The Hilton, it was more like Norman Bate's Motel. I chose this was I expect it to follow it's name and have a little luxury but I will never use it again and will not recommend it to anyone. Should have stayed at the Premier Inn as that was my original choice until i thought i would spoil myself here. How wrong I was.

Very nice hotel, well situated for NEC.

Only thing that lets it down is the long wait for meals in the lounge , executive lounge and in-room service.

Close to NEC which we were attending a show

Posted 09-Nov-2015
Pros: The pool was very nice
Cons: External doors in rooms need attention , parking should be free for paying guests. Attention to detail should be made priority.
Location: Very convenient for the NEC which is within walking distance.
Checked in with ease . Rooms were ok but there was an awful draft from the veranda door. No flannels in bathroom to wash children and only 1 tablet of soap. Wi fi was not available in our room for whatever reason , my daughter who was 6 rooms from us was able to get it . Not what you expect from this class of hotel. Overal I think this hotel is overpriced for what you get . The most annoying thing is the parking charge which is £9 per night for guests .
