"We had a lovely friendly greeting on arrival and were made very comfortable and everything was clearly explained to us. It was a nice room and with a comfortable bed, a quiet road and nice location. Good value for money."

"Bit apprehensive beforehand reading reviews as the hotel is undergoing refurb but honestly our room was excellent as it was one newly refurbished. To be fair it was a bit of a trek getting to it but it is an older building and not much they can do about that as it is also only a couple of floors so extends out the back considerably. carpets in corridors bit dirty but builders clearly in and out, and they seem to have painted bits that maybe should have waited until refurb finished - also whoever picked the colour scheme clearly likes green of all shades!!! Bar and bar staff great. Didn't try the food but will next time. But overall no problem recommending ...if you get a refurbed room. problem going back "
