"I loved it. Just one thing spoiled it: there are very steep steps up to the accommodation. My two chihuahuas were petrified and would not go up or down. I had to put them in a beach bag and carry them. Lovely big room with sea view; all the staff so pleasant and helpful: choice and quality of breakfast ..."
"We had a great time at the Escape cottage. Very tastefully decorated and clean. Just remember that you can not park at the cottage, but the car park is just near by, but you need to pay, so remember to have so change as the credit card machine did not work. Appledore is a lovely seaside town."

What a find!
"We have just enjoyed a 2-night break in the Deluxe Junior Suite and really can't fault this accommodation. The suite itself is stylish comfortable and pristine. Our room had a balcony where we could watch the tide come in, reaching right under the balcony. This is a really lovely place to relax and watch the boats on the water. The breakfasts were tasty and generous and dinner excellent. The staff were cheerful and keen to make sure we had all we needed to enjoy our stay."
"I loved it. Just one thing spoiled it: there are very steep steps up to the accommodation. My two chihuahuas were petrified and would not go up or down. I had to put them in a beach bag and carry them. Lovely big room with sea view; all the staff so pleasant and helpful: choice and quality of breakfast first class. I would love to go again …but the stairs. I am almost 90 and had to take care myself, without carrying the dogs. Lovely place!"
"Staying over between jobs in Bideford and Plymouth; really lovely, comfortable and clean room - lovely old building, and a beautiful bedroom. Full English breakfast cooked perfectly, orange juice, fresh coffee ('proper' coffee, not the quick granular stuff) and plenty of cereal to choose from. Will be booking here again both for work AND if and when I come to Devon for a break. Really lovely staff."
