great friendly hosts who couldnt do enough for us. they even gave us a free upgrade to the kingsize balcony room. food was great and the rooms and views were amazing. i would recommend this place to stay to everyone

We were only there for one night but enjoyed our stay. The staff were all very helpful and friendly.

We were made to feel very welcome as soon as we arrived. Alison the owner, was great fun and made our weekend.

We wanted to explore N. Devon and I choose Instow Barton based on the reviews. We were not disappointed! This is an old Devon Farmhouse which has been tastefully modified to a very comfortable B & B. Our room was spacious with an extremely comfortable bed and views from the bay window onto fields & across the estuary to Appledore. The cream tea on arrival was very welcome.Breakfasts were superb and we were luck enough to have a chance to enjoy an excellent evening meal,normal they are booked 2-3 weeks in advance. Instow Barton is run entirely by a friendly Husband & Wife team. We drove across Exmoor to Instow and visited Hartland Abbey and all points between along this rugged coast. We hope to return to Instow Barton for a trip to Lundy Island from Bideford. Thank you for a fabulous weekend

Would recommend this inn.. The bunkbed was a hit for our daughter and we had a great night sleep. It was surprisingly quiet considering the rooms were located on top of a bar. Breakfast was good and dinner was lovely.

A well located hotel for Bude, Hartland, Westward Ho and Bideford. Rooms are in character with the old world style of the Inn and are very comfortable. The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful. Plenty of space at the Inn to relax both inside and out, and a friendly and cosy bar for an evening drink.
