"Nice country hotel in aquiet area"
We used it for a college re-union and the hotel was able to offer a nice discrete dining area for 17 with excellent food served promptly. Our bedroom was large, as was the bathroom, and there was a separate shower and bath.

We have stayed there more than once, and we are very happy to continue to do so. The shower is superb and the towels are great .The staff are friendly on arrival, after that we don't see them. It is a perfect stopover for Kent.

"Very close to Legoland "
1 mile from Legoland, this inn was clean, warm and well equipped. Great food, and a nice outside area right outside the rooms for having a drink or eating. Free parking onsite. Unfortunately one of us found the road to be too noisy to sleep well, however the others were not bothered by it. If you are a light sleeper this may cause you a problem. Otherwise no complaints and we would return for a short stay. Nice, welcoming and pleasant staff.

"Great hotel."
The hotel itself is lovely. Clean, comfortable, full of character and charm, however the decor in some areas needed attention but our bedroom was fine. Lovely furniture and a really comfy bed. We ate in the restaurant and enjoyed the food and the service was just right. Breakfast the next morning was a little chaotic and not the fault of the staff as there were only 2 people trying to replenish the buffet (food was delicious), clean tables, serve tea/coffee and attend to the guests needs.....not fair on the staff or the guests. One more person may have made it a little less stressful all round. In summary I would recommend this hotel to a friend.

"Almost perfect unusual hotel close 2 all amenities"
No other hotel have made us feel cosy, welcomed, lively and at home like Penta. Really professional and friendly staff that made our every request a reality, thanks to front-desk staff like Leo, Ian and Amber. Vibrant unusual surroundings for a hotel, that we found amazing marketing concept. Large clean and modern rooms with all amenities. It could be perfect if an indoor pool or spa/massage facilities were offered. Great location In walking distance from the Central Reading for shopping and sightseeing and the rail station.

"Good central location but..."
Location was great and facilities good but the room itself could/should have been better, especially for the price. Poor TV channel selection was missing many free-to-air channels which made little sense. Had to guess how to use the phone as it was missing a template that should have been on the phone. We were able to park on site but if you don't get there at the right time you have to park in a nearby NCP. Rates are subsidised but it's still away from the hotel so not the best.

"Modern hotel across from Windsor Castle"
Nice modern hotel on High St in Windsor across from the castle. Particularly well suited for business. Auto access is not easy, from the rear. Parking is expensive. Well located for restaurants and downtown Windsor and 20 minutes from Heathrow.

There are lots of countryside and woodland walks to be discovered, meadows to meander through and river paths to follow. Exploring Berkshire

The Royal County of Berkshire has an enviable pedigree. Runnymede is a beautiful water meadow that forms part of the Thames Path. Runnymede is the riverside site where the Magna Carta was signed in 1215. Relax by the river, take part in a guided walk or visit the Magna Carta memorial and reflect on 800 years of democracy, Runnymede is the perfect place for pondering or wandering. Windsor Great Park was once part of a huge Norman hunting forest and is now 2020 hectares of ancient woodland, exotic gardens and sweeping parkland. Stroll down the Long Walk toward Windsor Castle or stumble across the Totem Pole, gifted to the Queen in 1958 by the people of Canada. Elsewhere, Wellington Country Park near Reading is a magnificent country park with 350 acres of woodlands, nature trails and a lake. There's plenty of adventure and play areas for young children, an animal farm and even a human snakes and ladders game to be played on the hill. A pet-friendly hotel stay in the county of Berkshire is a wonderfully refreshing and invigorating break.
