The Bristol Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"One of the nicest hotels we have stayed. The location was great, situated on the river front, a lovely way to enjoy the sun shine. The hotel was clean and the bed was so comfy. It was great coffee and tea facilities in the room, with short bread biscuits as a special treat to start the morning off positively. The car park was next to the hotel and we paid 19 pounds for the night. We didn’t opt for the breakfast, and we enjoyed an evening meal nearby, so did not use the restaurant facilities but there was a good range of choices on the menu. We will defo return to this hotel."

"Firstly: Very friendly and helpful staff.. nice welcome at reception and bar had a pleasant server. Rooms were a reasonable size for an overnight stay and mostly clean, though we did find some property of a previous inhabitant which may allude to a slightly less than thorough clean. Great location and price. Car parking is in the next building and though expensive, it was very reasonable for the area and compared to other car parks nearby. Would recommend."

"I was left somewhat frustrated to pay £16 per head for breakfast for 3 people - total £48. I ordered the larger cooked breakfast and was then asked to pay an extra £6. The bigger breakfast had an egg and a pice of black pudding. This has left a negative feeling of what was an otherwise excellent stay at the hotel."

"We loved this hotel! It is beautifully decorated, clean and full of old character. They have obviously done upgrades while maintaining the age and beauty. The staff were very helpful . The breakfast was also a great deal with lots of options. Great value. If we are ever in Bristol again, we would stay here in a heartbeat!!"

"Booked through Hotels.com. Sadly the room advertised wasn’t the room we felt we got. Booked executive got deluxe. Room was nice. But very high windows which unless you were 6ft you couldn’t see out. Room was well decorated. Bed was very comfy. Nice temperature in room. Bathroom was nice. Room was a little dark near desk for getting ready, Breakfast room looked very nice. Well laid out buffet. Breakfast looked lovely but a little cold. Coffee was great. Would like to stay again. Hopefully it would turn out a little better. Didn’t use the pool facilities."
