The Grosvenor Hotel

"I would have rated this much higher if it wasn't for the bathroom situation in our room. The bathtub had a glass screen that was difficult to move and the toilet just next to it making it surprisingly difficult to enter the tub to shower. And apparently also to clean. I counted strain of hair from at least three previous guests in the corner not very visible for someone not standing in the tub. I would not blame the cleaning staff at all, it was a very difficult place to get to and should not be asked by staff to do daily. However it is a bit difficult to shower with remains of strangers right there. Another difficult thing was that the spare loo roll was standing straight on the floor under the toilet and had quite a few dried spots on them. I told myself it has to be backsplash from the shower and not the nearby toilet because I had no wishes to be that close to previous guests and can only wish the loo roll in the holder hadn't been on the floor. I tried not to look too closely but the surgery theatre style lighting made it difficult to not see everything. The bed was comfortable but the two pillows in the double bed was surprisingly small and there was only the main lights and no separate lighting for the bedside. Good place to stay for sleep and breakfast. And that is not bad. But will pick another place next time"

"Nice hotel. Clean and largely well maintained. It's a distance from the town centre if that's important to you, but on a frequent bus route and a good cycle network. Small frustrations are the charge for parking (but the cost of the hotel itself was reasonable) and having to book the pool etc, which is only in 30 minute slots, which put us off a bit."

The Swans Nest Hotel

"The hotel was situated by the river in Stratford and walking distance to the town centre. There was ample parking although a fee applied. The room was a good size and had H2K toiletries which are gorgeous. Breakfast was ample. Staff were very friendly. Would definitely stay here again."

"We were very well received on the first night we arrived. The staff were professional. There was an error on our booking but the staff were able to address it promptly and changed our room immediately. It was a quiet and relaxed stay and we will definitely be going back there in future. My wife and I are very grateful for out stay, it was definitely value for money."

"The place is charming! The restaurant and bar was an old pub hundreds of years ago and the place maintains the old timbers and charm of that era. We had delicious breakfasts each morning and one great dinner there. Our room was extremely comfortable and the staff were helpful and friendly. Excellent place to stay"

"Girlie weekend that didn’t disappoint! The hotel was amazing!! The staff were all so friendly helpful and professional! The rooms so lovely and clean and the beds were so comfortable! Decoration throughout the hotel was very tasteful and modern. Food in the restaurant was delicious and the rooftop bar had a great atmosphere and insane views!! Highly recommend and will certainly be looking to stay in another IHG Hotel."
