Shopping in Kuta: Beachwalk Shopping Center
Beachwalk is one of the more modern additions to Kuta’s shopping scene. Its fresh, modern design and wide range of shops and restaurants make it easy to see why it’s become one of Kuta’s most popular spots. A short stroll from the beach, it’s also close to many of Kuta’s hotels including plenty of cheap but clean accommodation and – at the other end of the scale – luxury beachfront resort hotels.
Retreat from the Heat
With its calming water features, curved stone architecture, tropical planting and cooling blasts of air-conditioning, the Beachwalk offers visitors a haven from the heat of bustling Kuta. Add to that high-street brands as well as a sprinkling of luxury designers and you will want to put Beachwalk to the top of your list of things to do.
High-spending visitors might love the selection of designer names, while shoppers with a more modest budget could enjoy scouring the rails of the high-street retailers. Even the kids will find it hard to grumble with several toy and children’s apparel shops to keep them occupied.
Eat, Drink and Be Merry
Beachwalk is much more than just a shopping centre. It’s a destination in its own right where families can happily while away a whole day. Kids will love Miniapolis Bali, where they can splash in the plunge pool or play under one of the water fountains. For little ones that want to stay dry, Crick’s Hideout promises indoor fun with obstacles to climb. Beachwalk is also home to Bali’s first digital cinema, which shows family favourites as well as the latest international releases.
When it comes to eating and drinking at Beachwalk, you can enjoy fresh sushi, a crepe or even a full three-course meal. If it is some authentic Indonesian cuisine you’re after, the food court has plenty freshly prepared to order. There is also the usual mix of cafés and fast food outlets here, so whenever you need a rest from shopping, you can find somewhere to sit back and relax.
