"The place is an old pub and whilst it is a little tired decor wise, this was clear from the pictures online. We had a request which wasn't passed on to the hotel, but the staff were so friendly and accommodating that it wasn't a problem. Location is lovely a quiet dales village with lovely views. Stayed one night and we both slept well. Some general maintenance of the premises wouldn't go amiss, and I would suggest a small information pack could be provided on the rooms for future guests. "

"The Cocketts is a lovely hotel with lovely quirks, which we expected. If you’re expecting smooth finishes and levels floors, choose a different hotel or place even! We had a spontaneous last minute meet up with friends. The Cocketts were fabulously accommodating. Our room was lovely, bed was comfortable, shower was hot, breakfast was made to order and delicious, we have no complaints. Super convenient and we will definitely return and recommend."

"Are four day stay was amazing, the ideal location to enjoy the dales to its full extent with the perfect host, from the best breakfast to very knowledgeable information and locations to visit enabling us to to get the most from are stay in the stunning Yorkshire dales. "

"We stayed for 1 night in a family room, the pub is conveniently situated just off the market place. All of the staff that we encountered were lovely and were very helpful. I asked if we could check in early as we had a booking at Forbidden Corner and the gentleman was more than happy to accommodate this request. The room, although old was very bright and spacious with a double and a single bed, each with fresh towels and complimentary toiletries which was a pleasure surprise. There was also a kettle and drinks tray and plenty of space for clothing. The ensuite although old was perfectly acceptable with a good powerful shower. Breakfast was excellent with cereals, juices, tea and coffee, freshly cooked full English breakfast and toast. All in all, for the price which we paid The Turf was excellent value for money, and we will be back!"
