"We had a very relaxing stay in the beautiful village of Hawes. Steppe Haugh is certainly quirky, but that only adds to its charm. It is also spacious, comfortable, well appointed and spotlessly clean. We loved it here and would recommend it highly. The hosts have thought of everything and there is great attention to detail. "Our stay was ok, however the central heating switched off every 15 minutes and tripped the consumer unit, i had to reset it many times to keep warm in such a lovely cottage, this spoilt it for us unfortunately. If the heating had stayed on we would rate this cottage very highly. We contacted the customer service office many times over the week but the problem was not resolved and nobody seemed to understand the issue, they just came in and reset the central heating switch in the consumer unit...

"The property was much smaller than expected and we were disappointed by the quality of furnishings and equipment some of which were old (floor coverings and kitchen utensils) and unacceptable in our view. We felt the photographs had been staged and larger groups would have struggled to have had a comfortable experience. The shower was difficult to use and was inaccessible for those who might have any physical issues and particularly so if pregnant or with balance problems. "
