"The bed was not very comfortable, a little lumpy and soft. The wifi didn't seem to reach my room and there was a power cut in the morning! The staff are delightful and very helpful so it could just be an unfortunate room location. The place itself is charming."

"Hollins Hall has been a great and grand hotel in the past I think. Does it need a revamp? Absolutely! That said, the bed was comfy. It caters for the golfing fraternity mostly it seems. Where Hollins Hall isn't as grand as the name might imply, we do stay there often as it's close to family we visit. In the broad scheme of things it's fine if you need a comfy bed for the night and it's very good value for money. The staff are friendly and helpful, the room was clean ( we had an accessible room - the toilet was too low with someone with mobility issues) the shower was fab and the bar on 2nd floor was nice and serves food until 9.30pm. We didn't eat in the hotel so can't comment on the food quality."

"Very helpful reception staff. Carpark very busy and spaces quite tight. Evening meal terrible but staff recognised I couldn’t eat it and refunded me. Room was very shabby & desperately needed refurbishing however it was clean. Was allocated a quiet room as requested"

"Large free car park. Staff were super friendly and soon sorted out some room problems. Dining area has been recently refurbished with a pleasant outlook over the canal. Corridor areas and the rooms we stayed in, although clean, large and functional seemed a bit tired and in need of a refurb. Powerful shower. Lift doesn't go to all floors. Doesn't seem to have Air conditioning. Breakfast was fine. Good location about 1 mile from Skipton town centre. Bus stop opposite takes you into Skipton if you don't want to drive."

"The room was clean and well equipped. Not being able to easily open the windows on the hottest day of the year was annoying. A hack to wedge curtains open to allow some air in through the tiny gap available was not needed. A fan was also not available. Having to order food via an app was not great. However it was hot when it arrived. Breakfast ordered for the room didn’t happen. No one took the breakfast order provided to hang on the door despite clearing the dinner tray. I can’t comment on the breakfast as didn’t have time in the end even tho it was paid for."
