"The Woolly Sheep is a lovely base for a trip to Skipton and the surrounding area. The rooms are spacious, well decorated and maintained with plenty of storage available should you need it. The restaurant and bars are comfortable and the food is very good. Being summer, we made use of the outside courtyard to sit and enjoy a lovely glass of chilled wine! The bars must also be lovely and cosy in the winter so that may warrant another trip. The staff are excellent, helpful and friendly. One thing to be aware of - there are lots of steps and stairs which should be expected given the age of the property. However, I would have no hesitation in recommending this delightful Inn."

"Helpful and flexible with uncertainty over bookings, and the accommodation was at least satisfactory in general... but there was drastically inadequate parking for a full hostel, and we were not given all the necessary info about how to gain access to the buildings ! ( a helpful resident who happened to be up late saved us from standing outside in the cold and dark. Make sure the person on the desk not only gives over the FULL keypad entry number...but also HOW to access the key pad in order to actually press the numbers and symbols in! :-l"
