"Breakfast offering was everything you could think of and plenty of it. "

"While the room was large and bedding was good, the room was too warm. The heat is centrally controlled. The air conditioner could not adequately compensate. The place is old and as such floors slant and can be disorienting. Dinner menu was acceptable but not spectacular for the ambiance of the hotel. "

"The bedroom was clean but on arrival my husband had arranged a surprise which they did not deliver and then blamed technology. I'm allergic to cats and they have a resident cat which we saw the notice on the last day, this should be on the website, I was lucky I did not have an allergic reaction. The bread was mouldy which staff did clearly not see my husband had to inform them, not good for saying they claim to be 4 star!! Was not impressed by the menu either. Overall stay was ok "

"Although the property is undergoing renovations, staff apprised in advance so it was not a surprise when we arrived. And! the workmen were not only accommodating but quite genial. The room was well appointed and the amenities were great (love the biscuits!). The complimentary breakfast is really tasty with a lot of choices. Best.hotel.ever!!!"

"Good choices for breakfast, limited choice of lunch and dinner menus, but reasonable prices. Room was clean, and stocked with teas, coffee and water. Lovely, well kept grounds. Spa facilities adequate. Ladies changing room could benifit from more private changing areas."
