Our visit to Homestead was outstanding in every way. From arrival to departure, we could not have had better service and attention. The house is unique and full of history and has been loving restored to the highest of standards. Could not recommend it more!!

Ideal location with easy access from motorway. Well presented resort with nice views from lodge over lake and plenty of things to do on-site. Staff always well presented, polite and very helpful, always seem to enjoy what they are doing. Nice restaurant with plenty of food choices which are reasonably priced. Definitely will be going back.

Second visit to Thurnham Hall and it was not a let down. The greeting when you arrive is second to none. The hall itself is beautiful and the studio room was perfect for the two of us. If you are looking for a busy adventurous holiday this is probably not the hotel for you but it is well located for exploring Lancaster and Cumbria. Having been to the bar area for years I was really looking forward to staying in one of the rooms. The room was very nice, very spacious with large wardrobe and kettle with tea and coffee. The huge bed was so comfy, in fact the rooms couldn't be any better. The bathroom was lovely and spacious too with a great powerful hot shower, and the towels were beautiful. Lovely breakfast with excellent choice to cover everyone's needs. Couple of the staff were miserable as sin and let the others...

It's a nice pub that is part of the Thwaites chain. Menu doesn't cater well for Vegetarians and not at all for Vegans. Disappointing to see them burning coal on the fire in July, really thoughtless. Room was lovely though

Nice hotel, 5 minutes to the promenade and town. Lovely breakfast, nice big rooms. A bit dated but in a quant way.

Lovely stay here. The room was fantastic, staff helpful and breakfast was amazing. The chauffeur ride into Cartmel was also a great touch. We shall return!

Dined in the restaurant and food was fantastic,very impressed that the menu indicated which dishes contained allergens and that the waiting staff offered wheat free bread.pool and spa area was very good. Staff on reception were very attentive and polite,overall was very happy with our stay and would recommend anyone to stay at stonecross manor

Stopped on 14th may 2016. The girl who greeted us and served breakfast the next morning was excellent. The food we had at night was great and the breakfast was spot on. Lovely location. The bar bit is about as perfect looking as youd get a pub. The bathroom in our room was 'retro' but we quite liked talking about it and what colour we had in the 90s lol. The bedrooms are lovely too.
