"Great B&B in a good location."
We stayed here for just one night. We were late arriving (10.30pm) but we called ahead and there was no problem. The owners were very helpful. Great location, just 5 minutes walk to the Hoe and 15 mins walk into town. Parking was free from when we arrived until 10am which was our check out time. Good breakfast with plenty of choice and a nice breakfast room. The bedroom and bathroom were good and the sheets and duvet cover were some of the softest I've ever slept in!

"The big things are right"
Very big comfortable room, good lobby and bar, wonderful staff (shame about the lime-green shirts). Just needs a little rejuvenation to get rid of some shabbiness.

"Quiet spa retreat"
Great hotel on the edge of Plymouth with easy access to main roads. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable if a little warm in hot weather - due i guess to the very thick walls. The spa is fabulous with everything you could want even an outdoor hottub connected to the swimming pool. The only slight downside for us was slightly patchy service in the bar - had to chase for the bill on a quiet night - and no nibbles provided. Apart from that small grumble all very good and highly recommended.

Pocket Guide: Devon Plymouth 4 stars Hotels

The principal town of the south west, Plymouth is famous for its maritime legacy. The Hoe, where Drake awaited the Armada, overlooks the magnificent harbour (Sound): home to naval dockyards and warships, accessible on sightseeing cruises. The bustling atmospheric Barbican district by the inner harbour, with its narrow streets of Tudor and Jacobean buildings, is where the Pilgrim Fathers sailed from. Visit the Elizabethan House and the Plymouth Gin Distillery, as well as the National Marine Aquarium - one of England’s finest.
