Hotel staff very attentive and helpful, the room was gorgeous with the most comfortable bed! Yes there is building work going on but didn't distract from our stay. "Lovely hotel, currently undergoing refurbishment. But no impact on experience. Staff were friendly and helpful. Lots of nice touches in the room. I have already recommended it to several people and I will certainly return. We were a family of 5 and the kids also remarked on how impressive it was, they enjoyed playing tennis and having a swim after dinner. Food was wonderful with an excellent choice, we enjoyed both our dinner and breakfast. *Highly recommend *"

"The hotel is ideally situated - while not being in an immediately picturesque location, its proximity to the M6, A66 and Penrith North Lakes railway station make it the perfect base for exploring the beauty of the Lake District in one direction and Yorkshire in the other. The staff are excellent, particularly in the FYR restaurant: friendly, helpful and attentive. The food is equally impressive and the hotel itself is clean, comfortable and a pleasure to stay in. "

"The hotel was perfectly located for walking. The room was very clean there was just some lipstick/ makeup marks on the bathroom wall which I didn't expect as the room was expensive. But overall it was a luxury experience. Breakfast was nice"
