"Stayed whilst visiting the Lakes. Hotel was perfect for us as a family with children age 10 to 16. The buffet breakfast was a good selection, children loved the pancake machine. We also loved the pool, you had to pay extra but I felt this was worth it, the pool was a good size and steam room, sauna and jacuzzi nice for adults to relax. The hotel had a nice atmosphere, nice reception area with lovely open fire to sit by."

We stayed one night at the Victorian house as we had planned a last minute visit to the lakes due to particularly good weather forecast for this time of year. The staff were very welcoming; the room was as described ‘cosy’ and furnished beautifully. The breakfast was of a high standard with plenty of choice. We would definitely look to stay again, especially as it was such good value for money and right in the centre of the village.

This was our second stay at the Daffodil Hotel in Grasmere having previously stayed in February. The hotel is very clean and tidy with a very friendly and helpful reception staff. The onsite parking is great. Our room was a decent size and was very clean with good standard facilities (TV, air-conditioning, complimentary water, hairdryer etc) The spa facilities are acceptable and the only downside to the hotel is it's lack of swimming pool. Lovely hotel and a short walk to Grasmere village. We had an executive King room which was very nice. Good size and spotless. Nice bar with reasonable prices (same food menu and prices as the restaurant but less formal and no need to book). We dined in the restaurant in the evening (need to book table in advance) and the service and quality of the food was very good. Portions were quite small but we didn't leave hungry and we didn't bother with starters as we had earlier had a quite big lunch...

Really enjoyed our stay at Craglands, Comfy Beds and lovely Room and Breakfast. The Hotel is conveniently situated for the Railway walk from the doorstep which can also lead onto Latrigg and Skiddaw if you so wish. It's no more than 10 - 15 mins walk into centre of town. We went for an evening Meal and walked back around 10pm and it took us no more than 15 mins and is a lovely walk along the Main road. It is also conveniently placed for local Bus Routes.
