"Breakfast was terrible value. it was offered as a continental breakfast but what actually came were offerings that did not include and cheese or ham or even a boiled egg. My husband discussed it the manager. There is a new menu on its way.Staff were all very friendly.There just seemed to be fewer around than on previous stays over the years.in general the hotel is in a great location. Short walk into centre of Chester, great parking under the hotel for £20 per night. Just think the rooms are maybe getting a little bit tired and we just couldn't work the TV . There was also a lack of general info in the room. It's all on app/site but again not easy to use. Would I go back again? Yes, but only in the Enviable or Most enviable rooms. Never had a suite yet in the numerous stays since it opened."

"Hotel was lovely, clean and tidy throughout. Efficient check in and room was good size and clean. Shower room was very nice and good powerful hot shower. Had an evening meal which was lovely and waitresses were very fun and professional. Only let down was the breakfast. What was there was good but there was never a full english available at the same time. Either eggs missing, when the eggs arrived the bacon had gone, then the beans. I had a staggered breakfast which each part was nice but would have been nice all together. Had to ask for the pastries which had run out also. They cooked a fresh batch but i think if i hadn't asked there would have been no more. Overall a good Hotel and would still go back."

"Our stay at the queens was most enjoyable the room was spacious, clean with T/coffee making facilities in the room, lovely pillow, comfortable bed . Plenty of mirrors spacious bathroom."

"We decided on same day to book this hotel last minute as had just arrived back to Manchester airport and wanted to extend holiday time a day longer. We wanted somewhere within range of the Peak District with a pool and Spa facilities etc and De Vere Cranage estate came up in the search looking like it fitted the bill. It didn't disappoint. Scenic well maintained grounds and good parking on arrival. Quick check in with friendly professional staff. Room was a double on lower floor. Decent size comfortable bed and pillows. Large tv, good wifi, safe, fan, additional heater, iron and board. Tea/coffee making facilities with biscuits etc. Swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room plus extensive gym facilities which are complementary for guests and open from around 07:30 till 20:00 which is good. Very hot sauna and steam room which is what I always hope for. All nice and clean as well. Keypad lockers you just enter a four digit sequence of your choice twice to set it. (I had to ask a guest to show me as hadn't paid attention) We had a fantastic lovely sunny day and warm evening there so we watched the sunset in a cloudless sky in the grounds along with others. Breakfast was very good although we arrived at peak time so was busy. A good range on offer that I can't fault at all. I will most certainly use this hotel when in the area again and give it 10 out of 10. "

"Struggled to get in and out the bath to have a shower as there was no handrail - I felt very unsafe. Even if there had been an additional non-slip mat available to go into the bath it would have helped. Apart from that the staff were very helpful and friendly and the room was perfectly fine. Impressed that there was an iron and ironing board in there and I didnt gave to ask for one. Sound proofing not quite so good as I could here next door room late into the night. I would stay again but ask for a room with stand alone shower"
