Lovely hotel, cosy feel

We booked on the spur of the moment for one night and definitely picked the best location in Ross on Wye. The hotel has a fantastic terrace with a great view and we were given a room with that view too when we asked. The room and bathroom were very clean and the bed comfortable with lovely crispy white sheets. The hotel staff were all very friendly and polite, especially the waiter at breakfast who smoothly fulfilled our request to see the view again whilst having breakfast with smiles and no...

I was in a single room, basic but clean. The hotel does need a refresh, and that is planned for next year. There is a gym guests can use, and spa treatments are also available (payable) in the Serenity Suite, a separate business on site. Staff were welcoming and very helpful.

I stayed in a single room that was fantastically decorated, clean, warm and had everything you would need for a great price. with great parking. On arrival i received a very warm welcome from the manager, throughout my stay the staff were excellent polite, very accommodating and made every effort to ensure a good stay.thank you. With work i have stayed at many locations and this one rates very highly indeed. The food was very quick to arrive and of a high standard the menu was varied....

Really lovely hotel with fantastic public rooms. Cosy bar with log fire and home made cakes or cocktails later on. Food was delicious and service very friendly. Rooms are being upgraded and the views are beautiful.

Lovely breakfast and great location. I loved the view from the bedroom window across Monmouth town.

We had 2 rooms at this property , we needed storage for 3 bikes overnight and this was not a problem. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, there was even a guest sitting room. Breakfast was very nice would stay again and recommend it

Had a lovely couple of nights in The Speech House Hotel. The staff were friendly but also professional. Room really comfortable and well equipped, and a good size. The restaurant was excellent, both for dinner and for breakfast. The hotel has a long and interesting history going back many hundreds of years. It's such a lovely location too, with lots of places within easy driving distance, but more importantly there's the beautiful Forest of Dean to enjoy. We would most definitely go back to the...

We really enjoyed staying at this hotel, the room was a great size and the beds were comfy.

Super large refurbished room. Other rooms are currently being refurbished but this was not intrusive. Plenty of parking and excellent WiFi. Breakfast excellent. Restaurant at hotel but also plenty within walking distance.

Rooms are immaculate love staying at the hotel staff are so helpful and friendly Such a good nights sleep beautiful country side Well recommended

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Saul Farm. Our bedroom and bathroom were stunning and immaculately clean. Yet there was a relaxed and homely feel about the place which was just what we needed. Nice to meet the dogs. The breakfast table was beautifully laid and the variety of food that was served up to us was a real treat! (Yogurt with fresh fruit ,cereals, a wonderful full English breakfast, toast, sweet pastries etc plus drinks.) We appreciated the friendly conversation and were made to feel...
