"Decent stay...still needs work."
I was worried after booking this hotel because I read some reviews that said the pictures were different than reality. This is somewhat true. Pros: I booked for a group of coworkers and 4 of the 5 rooms we had were newly remodeled. I was even upgraded to the Penthouse level. My room was huge, with brand new furnishings in every room except the bathroom. Having a kitchen with a Keurig and dishwasher was a great convenience, being there for a week. The king size bed was also very comfortable. Cons: Timing a business trip the week of Caribana wasnt ideal...nobody likes getting woken up at 3am by drunk people. The fridge made an incessant ticking noise that sounded like a time bomb, which often kept me up at night. There were some cracked tiles in the kitchen, that hurt if you stepped on them. My air conditioner didn't seem I work to cool down the room like I wanted. The hot water in the shower had a mind of its own...i'd set a temperature but when I was in the shower, could feel the water temp vary from surges of scalding hot to drops to ice cold. And the bathroom, in comparison to the rest of the updated furnishings, seemed old and dingy with a tiny toilet. Finally, I thought there was a fitness center..it consisted of one treadmill and one exercise bicycle. They promoted the use of a Crossfit on property but wanted to charge you $15 a day. Overall, it wasn't too bad, but make sure you try and ask for one of the newer rooms. The staff is very helpful and friendly.

"Nice quiet hotel with great rates. "
Quiet. Overall clean but occasionally some things were a bit off: my room had a cleaning spray bottle and dirty rag left by the house keeping staff. 2nd day of housekeeping produced a fresh batch of "clean" towels but one had a looooong black hair strand in it. Breakfast was simple but at least they had some bananas. Quiet place that is very quiet and close to major attractions (10 minutes walk). Staff friendly and helpful. A surprisingly good stay at affordable prices. Tiny sinks in bathroom but functional. Shower was great.

"close to everything"
nice clean hotel in the heart of everything. upgraded to huge room the size of a 4,5 appartment, because our room was not ready. the free continental breakfast was good with a waffle maker. staff was really nice and helpful (Wallen). the only negative was finding the hotel parking, on the backstreet behind the hotel, but at $10 a day which was great considering where you are. will definitely stay again

"Comfy bed."
Comfy bed, quite room, perfect for our needs. I booked this hotel because of the King Size bed. I've been there before; the beds are very nice. My girlfriend was recovering from a accident so the extra space helped a lot. The first room we were given hadn't been properly cleaned, but we were quickly given a new room and it was fine (good service).

"Nice, clean hotel for a good price"
The staff is friendly and helpful. The room was small but clean and the cleaning staff kept everything clean and stocked. It's close to attractions, quiet at night, complimentary breakfast is included. Overall it wasn't the fanciest place out there but perfect for a relaxed weekend away. Would definitely go here again when I'm in the area!

"American came for 2 nights"
Affordable place in downtown Toronto next to the subway. Place has a hostel communal feel and everyone is gracious, including the host, Antonio. Place is clean, decorated in nice paintings. We had private bathroom. There's a communal kitchen with microwave and fridge. This place definitely beats the $200 - $300/ night hotels, especially if you plan to be out most of the day exploring Toronto and most of what you need is a bed and bathroom.

"Experience Toronto's neighborhoods"
If you want to REALLY experience Toronto's neighborhoods, then Urban Living Suites (ULS) is the hotel for you! It is located right on the borders of Little Portuguese, Little Italy and China Town. It is also directly next door to Bent Restaurant, which is owned and run by Susur Lee, Toronto's internationally renowned, award-winning chef. (Yes, he was in the kitchen the day we visited. FYI- Bent is pricey.) ULS have lovely kitchenettes and the rooms are clean. The rooms could easily accommodate a stay of a a week or two. I also need to say that we were travelling with a party of five; we were expecting to stay in one room. The management opened a second, adjoining suite to our room for us.....at NO CHARGE! My only recommendation is that ULS get better signage out front, it is a bit difficult to find when your driving and have never been there before. This hotel seems family owned and has more of an Air-B and B feel to it. If you would rather have a posh, expensive Trump Hotel-like experience, then go to one of the larger hotels in town and spend $400-500. We had a great experience staying here! Thank you so much!

"Cheap, but clean"
The hotel itself was definitely not anything special. Cheap is the only word I could think of to describe, but I didn't expect much, as it was actually the cheapest I could find in downtown Toronto next to a couple of hostels. You could hear what's going in in the hallway from the room, and smell the smoke in the stairwell from the smoking rooms. The man at the front desk was polite and professional. I skipped the breakfast, and the area of the city had some "undesirables" hanging around. Sleep here if your cheap, trying/needing to save a buck, sleeping with someone who is not so special to you
