Travel Experience:
A traveller at heart from an early age, Pete has already got a number of air miles under his belt. He spent six months working in Sydney as part of his university course and hasn't looked back. Since then he has backpacked through much of the rest of Australia, worked a ski season in the alps, inter-railed in Europe and enjoyed many beach holidays. |
Why he wanted the job of 'Expedia Beach Explorer':
I love to travel and love beaches, so this trip was really a dream come true! It's a great opportunity to visit and explore some amazing coastlines and get a real flavour for what makes a great beach. A once in a lifetime journey!
What did you enjoy most about the trip?
It sounds strange but opening the curtains each morning was a real treat - there were many times when I couldn't remember what continent I was on let alone what beach! It was always a good surprise to find out where I was!
What did you miss most about home?
My friends and family. It was great to meet people from all the different cultures but sometimes I just wanted to have a beer with someone I knew.
