"The location was really good. The subway station is right across the street through a shopping mall. Breakfast was crowded, but the food was delicious. They have a little bakery, and their Millefeuille was so good. There are so many shopping and dining options around the hotel. The only downside was that the room was very small. I have stayed in many hotels in Tokyo, but this was the smallest room."

"Tokyu Stay Ikebukuro has become my go-to when I do my yearly travel to Tokyo! The location is so convenient it’s a 3 min walk to the nearest train station exit C6 with escalators (many exits in Japan are stairs only). There are a lot of actions going on in the area but the hotel is located in a quiet street so you get the best of the two worlds. "Love this location. The airport shuttle bus stops right in front of the hotel, and the hotel is connected to the Sunshine City. Lots to shop and eat. The room was spacious for 3 adults with 3 twin beds."

"The staff is always extremely friendly and professional. I swear by this hotel and recommend it to all my friends. An easy 10 minute walk from Ikebukuro Station (major hub for transiting with the JR lines/Yurakucho/Marunouchi) and right by Sunshine City (Pokémon Centre) and Otome Road (Kbooks, Book Off, Animate). A must stay for all your otaku needs as a business hotel and a fantastic shopping experience."

"A nice, lived-in business hotel just a stone's throw away from the craziness of Highashi-Ikebukuro. It was clearly a rebranded branch of an old business hotel chain, but personally, that adds to the charm to me. Showa/bubble-era places have extra appeal that I look for when I travel to Japan. Good breakfast, and amenities relative to the price paid."
