"Perfect"
Excellent central hotel, very comfortable and classic. Beautiful decor. Being close to the famous sights eg 10 minutes walk to Trevi fountain, we were concerned that it might be noisey but very calm and quiet. Definitely recommend this delightful hotel, a great base for a trip to Rome. A lovely buffet breakfast.

"Fantastic location. Outstanding service"
The hotel was very centrally placed and within easy walking distance of shops and the main piazas. The staff couldn't do enough to make us feel welcome. They recommended and booked the best restaurants for us, and organised bookings for the sights we wanted to see. Outstanding service. The room was very clean and well soundproofed. The only slight problem we had was that the air conditioning had been switched to heating due to the time of year, but it was still quite warm outside and we found the room a bit hot. Otherwise five stars all the way. We would definitely book again.

Hotel Barocco

"Charming, well-positioned hotel"
Hotel Barocco is entered via a side street off Piazza Barberini and is a haven of tranquility from the busy Piazza. It looks newly refurbished with cool polished stone floors and neutral decor...it felt very calm: just what you need after a busy day out and about. Our room was one of the smaller doubles, but was still beautiful and we had ample room to store things and walk around the very comfortable, generously sized bed. No bath in our ensuite, but the powerful shower was very welcome after a day of walking and the hairdryer conveniently placed in the bathroom. A T.V is mounted on the wall, should you have time to use it, or the hotel has a small, quiet bar. We were able to walk to the Spanish steps in a few minutes, and used Barocco as a base to walk to all the sights, including the Colosseum (25 minutes) and the Vatican City Museum. The Piazza Barberini which many rooms overlook has a fountain in the centre to go and sit by, or there is a pavement cafe from which to sit and watch modern day Roman life. A taxi stand is located opposite on the Piazza, so it is easy to catch a ride somewhere if you have had enough of walking! We went on this trip to celebrate our Silver Wedding Anniversary and staff could not have made us feel more welcome. We were surprised each day with gifts of fruit, or sweets and cards with kind messages. On our day of departure the staff were very helpful, phoning the shuttle company to allay our fears when the bus was a few minutes late!

"Nice hotel, close to the major sites."
Good, friendly hotel, within walking distance of Rome's major tourist attractions. Good areas to eat in Trestevere. within 10 minutes of hotel. Take a bus, or walk to Vatican and St Peters. Excellent friendly staff, who answered all our questions and met our demands. Breakfast is typical Europe, but we've had better.

"Great experience..."
We stayed three nights at this hotel to end a two week vacation traveling around Italy. We loved it! Very clean, very comfortable, polite and helpful staff, great breakfast buffet every morning. The only negatives were that our fridge didn't work but they immediately offered a different room and it was pretty noisy from street noise well into the wee hours of the morning but we would absolutely stay in this hotel again and would definitely recommend to our friends!

"Great location in Rome"
Cannot complain about anything. This was the 2nd hotel we stayed at in Rome on this trip and the last on the entire holiday & was the better of the 2 in Rome. The rooms were so clean & cozy, even though small, & the reception staff very obliging. It gets even better at breakfast with such a good selection & great coffee. Would probably look for this hotel again if I returned to Rome as we also enjoy staying in historic areas & good selection of restaurants nearby. The hotel offered to help book a taxi back to the airport but that was not necessary as a further benefit was the Metro station was close enough for us to pull our suitcases to & pick up a train all the way to FCO Airport (changeover to the Leonardo Express at Termini).

"Beautiful boutique hotel, excellent service"
We couldn't have been more pleased. The place has a rather inconspicuous exterior and a lovely boutique ambiance so it doesn't feel like being in a big, touristy hotel, but rather a more personal, neighborhood experience. It felt like a local luxury stay. The staff were amazing and very accommodating. They almost anticipated our needs before we knew them! There is an ancient Roman crypt on the ground floor that the hotel preserved and has open to guests which was very unique and interesting! And we were lucky and got a fabulous (and free!) upgrade to their new 2-floor luxury apartment so we of course loved that! Great location, we would recommend it to our friends.

"A brilliant location"
Just off main shopping zones, adjacent to Spanish Steps and other attractions. Brilliant staff. New hotel and even squeakily so. Spagna Metro nearby. Make sure you know the street number before trying to find it.
