There’s anime shops nearby, bic camera, parco mall, and couple of train stations. There’s a walkable Ichiran ramen which we love and the famous I’m donut?. My only comment is that their rooms are small, specifically their shower and toilet area. It’s tight and a tall or big person will have an issue. Breakfast is served in on site Dennys chain. There is laundry available which is good if you need it. The rooms are a little dated and dim. The room carpet looks dark and dirty. The toilet is however bright and clean but has a bit of sewage smell. Reception staff is friendly. Hotel room was laid out nicely for three with the sofa bed for the third person. 7 eleven, Denny’s and small Japanese joints are conveniently located downstairs and nearby. Lots of shopping around in Ikebukuro. The room was clean and had all the essentials, but the building itself feels a little rundown, especially the elevator and hallways. The lighting throughout the hotel is also quite dark, which gives it a slightly older feel. The bed was firm, which is pretty common in Japan, but from a North American perspective it might feel hard or uncomfortable if you have a sensitive back like me. I recommend asking for an extra duvet to make it softer and more cushioned.
