Very small check in. Lobby. Like an express version. Stayed in Osaka Mido-suji. Much better. But room still good
Located near the boardwalk, APA Hotel Shinjuku Gyoen-mae is in Tokyo's Shinjuku neighbourhood, an area with good shopping. Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden and Meiji Jingu Shrine are notable landmarks, and some of the area's popular attractions include Robot Restaurant and Ninja Trick House In Tokyo. Don't miss out on a visit to Tokyo Tower. Our guests appreciate the hotel's convenience for public transport: Shinjuku-gyoemmae Station is just steps away and Shinjuku-sanchome Station is 4 minutes by foot.

The location of this hotel is great! It is positioned directly above a Tokyo Metro station and is also a short 10-15 min walk to Shinjuku station. There are multiple restaurants and convenience stores within a few moments of the hotel. The hotel is very clean and the rooms are serviced daily. The room size is small but manageable and let's be honest, this is Tokyo so that's standard, plus there are so many things to see and do, it really is just a place to sleep. One thing to be aware of though, is that the pillows are very uncomfortable, but after a quick request at reception I was able to get a different style. The hotel also has its own "onsen" on the basement level - these facilities are awesome to use after a long day of sightseeing. I would definitely stay in this hotel again.
