This large hotel mainly caters for elderly tourists and families in all-inclusive holidays. It is situated in a quiet town with numerous elderly ex-pat residents. Beach here not great, but several nice coves nearby. Two swimming pools available including one for children.
Family of 5 with adult children, booked to coincide with autumn half-term as 3 of party work in schools. The apartment was perfectly adequate, it's 3 star so don't expect luxury there was plenty of space with everything we needed. The pool area was excellent and the staff courteous and even thou just 5 of the 44 apartments were occupied at the time of our stay they were on hand to provide drinks and snacks as required. Previous experience in Spain and Greece at this time of year has shown us that many hotels have closed and resorts are shutting down for winter. This was the case in S'Algar which can be a bit disconcerting as rooms are stripped which leaves you feeling a little in the way, however the peace and quiet was exactly what we wanted and the associated San Luis hotel with sports facilities was available as required also the 2 bars/restaurants in the resort were open and lively enough. Overall we had an excellent holiday, a change of linen and towels would have been nice but I think this would have been done if we'd asked.
A wonderful retreat in the Menorcan countryside that was a calm and peaceful place to stay. Staff are very attentive and always on hand to answer questions or give directions. We had a very relaxing time staying here and would highly recommend it to another couple.
Standard rooms clean, refurbished and spacious. Location nice and quiet with good coastal views. Food was lovely and all inclusive drinks with good selection of branded names at no extra cost is good value.
Nice comfortable double sun lounges are excellent when available!
When we arrived we were told by the reception staff they had upgraded us to a better room. It was indeed a lovely room on a corner so we had balconies on two sides of the room.
We only stayed one night here but this is essentially a family resort so quite noisy around the pools, but that's only to be expected. Breakfast was excellent.
We were told when we arrived that we needed to pay 5 euros on leaving to get out of the car park, but when we checked out they said we did not have to pay.
Just back from 11 days stay here.
Family of four with 2 children aged 7 and 6.
This is our second visit and it is highly recommended if you want a family holiday to relax.
If you want to sit by the pool and have a few activities within an all inclusive offer this is the best we have visited.
Staff on the whole are excellent. Attentive, enthusiastic and with a happy disposition.
Facilities are very good and well maintained.
I would not recommend for young couples, but for family it has everything you need.
We have been on three all inclusive deals over last 4 years and this is by far the best. Drinks are all branded so you do not have to put up with the local brand spirits and beers as we had to at other places.
Food is of high quality and plentiful. If you stay for more than one week be aware the menu is based on weekly rotation. So week 2 will be same as week 1.
Only negative was it took a little while to check in on arrival. Not major but after travelling for 6 hours you just want to get to your room. In retrospect if this is only fault I could find then its very minor.
Not much to do outside the hotel, a small row of shops and bars a 5 min walk away, but this is not a party area so if you want a bit of life then look elsewhere.
Evening entertainments were OK with external acts twice a week. Entertainment staff on site are very good and work incredibly hard. However a bit more variety on evenings would be appreciated.
What can I say the perfect holiday in the perfect location! This is a great place to stay for families with younger children. My wife and I with our two children aged 6 and 3 stayed here for 2 weeks at the end of June and begining of July.
The accomodation comprised of 1 and 2 bedroom apartments surrounding a large pool with a reception childrens playroom and a snackbar. The apartment was fully equiped with fridge, hob, microwave, kettle, TV and airconditioning.
It couldn't have been more welcoming from our arrival onwards. It is all inclusive accomodation with dining in the adjoining terrace resturant with both inside (airconditioned) and outside tables. Food was available 8-10 am, 12.30pm - 2.30pm and 7.30pm - 9.30pm snacks were available from the pool bar at other times). The food was varied and of a good quality with enough range to suit every taste.
There was a selection of activities everyday and entertainment in the evening to suit younger children and keep the grown-ups happy. My daughter particulaly enjoyed the mini disco, games and face painting whilst my football mad son enjoyed the mini football, darts, pool and air hockey.
All our other time was spent in the spotlessly clean pool area or on the local beach with its picture postcard golden sand and clear blue/green sea perfect for swimming in only 200 metres away.
The staff all worked extremely hard to make our stay the best it could be and to get us involved without being too pushy. Thank you!!!!!!!
