This is a great modern boutique hotel with excellent and charming customer service. The staff is very attentive and forthcoming. Great breakfast buffet. The location is great as it allows one to reach most of the historic sites, greeat restaurant and shops on foot.
We stayed for 7 nights. Everything was clean and comfortable, staff was wonderful, breakfast was perfect. Very short walk to Forum and Colosseum, spectacular room views of Palatine Hill. Two minutes to restaurants across the river in Trastevere, ten minute walk to Victor Emmanuel monument. Would stay there again.

Hotel Aventino was really great - better then many 4* hotels. From the beginning the staff was VERY nice and friendly, aside from hearty welcome they offered us an early check-in for free and were helpful and amicable for the rest of our stay.
The hotel itself is beautiful, clean and, as it seems, newly renovated. The room had fridge and wall safe, and was quiet big for italian hotel.
Breakfasts were also very good, especially if you know how bad they can be in 3* in Rome :) There even were fruits.
Location is a bit far off from the main tourist attractions, but it's perfect for relaxing evening after a busy day in the city.
The only drawback was a weak wifi signal, but, well, it's not the main point.
I really would like to come back again and will recommend hotel Aventino to all my friends!

This gem of a hotel is housed in three former villas clustered in a walled garden in the beautiful and quiet Aventine neighbourhood. We found it close enough to walk to many of the historical sites (Colosseum, Forum, Caracalla Baths) and to the Trastavere restaurant district across the river. (Of course "walking distance" depends very much on the individual.) It's also a 5 minute walk to the famous keyhole view of St. Peter's Basilica through the gate of the Knights of Malta villa.
Copious breakfasts (included in the room price) are served in the glass sun-room and on the terrace in the garden. The rooms have a historical feel to them - high ceilings, painted panelling, marble bathrooms. Very friendly and efficient staff.
Staying here really enhanced our trip to Rome. Late afternoon aperitifs on the terrace, surrounded by terra cotta walls and lush greenery, were the perfect antidote to the hustle and bustle of the tourist-filled historical sites.
The hotel is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. It's a little further from the metro than some of the other hotels, but the smaller, fancier, quieter setting makes up for that. The room was nice. The bed took up most of the room but it was a giant bed. The bathroom was giant though. Breakfast was great and people were nice. There are no outlets by a mirror which makes getting ready a bit more difficult. Overall I recommend it, especially if you dont want to be right in the middle of it all. Since that can be a bit dirtier and louder!
