“Wonderful roof restaurant view”
Being very close to the Termini this hotel is very easy to find, and centrally located. I was most courteously treated at reception - who had my order recorded, my single room turned out to have a large bed and everything I could want. The buffet breakfast was excellent; however it is the roof restaurant that I will go back for, with a panoramic view of most of Rome - plus good service. It was interesting to note that every door was a solid fire door, and the central staircase had been cleverly boxed in, also for fire safety - you do not always see this. One possible slight confusion is that Bettoja own four hotels, all of which share a common location but different entrances. Good value for money, you need spend no more!
“Not four stars”
Very convenient location for the center of Rome, clean room and, at the rate I got though Expedia (which was about a third of the hotel's rack rate) it was a good deal. Had I paid their rack rate, I would have said it was hugely overpriced. The breakfast was nothing special. My room was meant to have a queen bed but I was given two very narrow single beds. The door lock was in poor condition and difficult to open.
“Very nice hotel”
The location of the hotel is very well situated near the train/bus station which is just a block away from the hotel. The concierge is very knowledgeable in places of interest and transportation. The breakfast is superb. On our last night with the hotel, I told the front desk that our flight is very early that we will check out of the hotel at 6.00 am. He told the kitchen to pack breakfast for us. When we checked out in the morning they gave us our breakfast in a bag. I arranged airport/port transfers with the hotel. I booked for a compact car. The compact car is a Mercedes Benz. When I go back to Rome someday, I book definitely book with this hotel. Also, they provide slippers, bathrobe, tea and coffee in the room.
“Location, but service”
Great location, across the street from main train station. Easy access, and clean rooms, but if you are looking for any reasonable standard of service, best to look elsewhere. Rude, unhelpful staff throughout.
“Great Hotel, Great Location, Great Service”
My wife and I stayed at this hotel during the first portion of our honeymoon and were very impressed. The hotel is extremely close to the train and bus station, making it quick and easy to get to where you'de like to go. It's also only about a 10-15 minute walk from the colosseum, forum and capitol, as well as several restaurants. The condition and size of the room were also very nice. We were very impressed with the service as the employers were always available to offer suggestions and help when needed.
“JUST LOVED IT”
THE STAFF WAS VERY HELPFUL. BREAKFAST BUFFET WAS MORE THAN I EXPECTED. LOCATED WALKING DISTANCE FROM TERMINI TRAIN STATION, MAKING IT A GREAT JUMPING POINT TO FLORENCE OR POMPEI AS WE DID, OR THE BUS TERMINAL. CHECKING IN AND OUT WAS VERY QUICK. MANY SMALL RESTURANTS AND GELATO SHOPS CLOSE BY. I WOULD GO BACK.
“Convenient location”
One block from the train station. Located on major road so its easy to find. Close to Forum area of the city. Breakfast and wi fi included in price. Close to San Pietro and Santa Maggiore, two of the best churches to visit.
“Not impressed”
Old furniure, poor breakfast, unfrendly staff, not so clean, no city map on reception...
“Good time in Rome”
An ideal location very central to most major attractions, buses and Metro. Very good breakfast in the hotel, especially the Cappuchino (sp?) and some good restuarants nearby
“One of Rome's Best”
Centrally-located and boasts of a good service, this hotel deserves the 4-star rating it bears. The Colloseo is a leisurely walk down Via Cavour. Good breakfast too. Recommended!
