“Trip to Rome”
Hotel decor was generally a bit dated but the staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is ideal being right next to an underground stop and a 15 min walk from the Colosseum.area is a bit quiet in the evening but decent restaurants only a 10 minute walk.
“Excellent hotel.”
Can't really fault this hotel on value for money.Booked a superior room and was not disappointed, clean and spacious with quality furnishings.Staff were very helpful.Good location and I would certainly stay here again.
“Very friendly Hotel”
This was an excellent hotel. The location was fantastic - the metro station is literally outside the hotel door. Although warned that it wasn't in the best location in Rome, we had no problems and in fact it wasa bonus (like finding a scarf in one of the local shops that we later saw in one of the city centre shops for x4 the price!). The local deli was brilliant - very friendly staff, and good food. The hotel staff were lovely, especially the front desk staff, again friendly, helpful and chatty! The rooms were comfortable and clean; breakfast was good - would definitely go back to stay here again.
“Napoleon Hotel Rome”
We booked this hotel owing to the combination of rating, price and location. It met our needs on all of these factors and proved to be a great base from which to visit the sites we had earmarked during our stay. The staff were excellent; very friendly and helpful. The lifts are small and the first one does only go to the first floor requiring a change but so what? they work perfectly well and you can always take the stairs! We arrived on the Friday night and stayed for the complimentary wine tasting which was a nice touch. It also proved to be useful, as we got chatting to a couple who were leaving the next day. They advised avoiding the metro particularly during commuter periods as every train was packed. We were out early and back late. The breakfast was always well stocked and although I was expecting only a "continental style" also included scrambled eggs and bacon, which was good. We also had a couple of toasted sandwiches in the evening from the bar which were reasonably priced. We took the Metro advice and chose to walk, the colosseum proved to be a mere ten minutes away. Take sensible shoes as there are lots of cobbles! We enjoyed our stay and would use the Napoleon again, some reviews I've seen level criticism at the Hotel for things that they cannot be accountable for. Rome is a city and suffers the same problems as most cities around the world, but its a fascinating place packed with history and some truly spectacular architecture. Go see it!
“Outstanding service”
The service at this hotel, as well as price through Expedia package, was amazing. The concierge staff were extremely helpful at all hours of day and night - they had tickets that were sold out at tourist stops around Rome, they provided change for larger Euro bills, they took the time to learn our names and faces. We really felt at home during our stay. The location isn't perfect - but it's still very convenient to major sites, as well as the metro which is very easy to navigate. There are definitely good restaurants around if you look - the only disadvantage to the neighborhood is lack of charming Italian shops. But your wallet will thank you for that "inconvenience!"
“Great Hotel great location.”
PIcked this Hotel after a lot of looking around, this was our first visit to Rome for our 25th anniversary so didnt want to be dissapointed , and we werent. From the sparkling in our room when we arrived as a congrats on our anniversary to the very friendly staff and extremeley helpful front desk. Within easy walking distance of the centre of Rome, or the Metro outside the door of the hotel and some great restuarants, coffee and apstry stops just around the corner, it was a great anniversay. The Hotel was great lovely 19th century style, weather was great, Rome was fantastic, go there , make the most of it, were on our way back!
“Very pleased”
Hotel Napoleon was extremely comfortable and well located with metro outside the door and only 10 mins walk from Terminus Railway station. Easy to walking distance to the main sites. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast selection was very good - cereals, fruit, yogurt, cheese, ham, bread rolls, pastries, eggs and bacon and a toaster that worked.
“Excellent Service”
Napoleon's Taem isalways willing to help you and try to make your stay as comfortable and unforgettable as possible. The hotel in coveniently located only 5 block from the Colloseum and 3 blocks from the Train Station and can be your starting point to discover Rome.
“Very Convient”
The Hotel was in a great location clean and cozy...The Metro is right outside the hotel and the staff was very helpful
“Expensive for hotel and neighborhood, good location”
Location is the best selling point of this hotel. Very very close to a subway station. Surrounding neighborhood is a little rough. Everyone at the hotel was very nice but it is a dated hotel. For example it takes two elevators to get from the lobby to the fifth floor. For the price I would look elsewhere.
