The Omni King Edward Hotel

37 King St E, Toronto - Map
"Central and quiet"
We stayed on a Sunday night, arriving late and (unfortunately) leaving early. Front desk staff were both efficient and engaging. Our sense was that the hotel was not busy and that probably accounted for our room upgrade from Deluxe King room to King Executive. Our room was a very spacious corner room (14th floor) with a comfortable seating area. Street noise was minimal in the morning. To save time we had breakfast in our room - it arrived on time (we chose "knock and leave outside" rather than "set up in room"). Our invoice was slipped under the door: strangely, it omitted our breakfast order (this was corrected at the front desk). The room had been fully renovated and the bathroom was well designed, fresh and very clean. No tub but a very ample glass-enclosed shower. The perimeter-lit mirror was a hit with my wife.

Pocket Guide: Toronto Downtown Toronto Omni Hotels

Toronto’s culturally diverse downtown includes the CN Tower, the Royal Ontario Museum, and the Art Gallery of Ontario. Air Canada Centre is home to the Toronto Maple Leafs, and Rogers Centre features the Blue Jays. Toronto’s underground city is a great way to get around the downtown core when the temperature drops. Known as the PATH, it is also the world’s largest subterranean shopping center.
