Poor management.

Posted 13-May-2015
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Customer care and Car parking.
Location: Entrance to the hotel is very poor visible because a big tree is blocking your view and you can have accident.
Receptionist at the hotel not helpful at all. We asked information about the Body massage the day we arrived and they don't have a clue of how much it costs even we told them what it says on their website they said no we can't do it for that price. Later we agreed with the price for the following day and got an appointment for 5:30pm but when we arrived at the hotel by 5pm the guy at the reception told us they have gone home because you did not pay advance. We told him when we booked in the morning no one asked us for advance and now they cancel. What a waist of time.

Enjoyable Stay

Posted 13-Apr-2015
Pros: thje staff were great. Walking distance to City Centre. On site free parking.
We stopped here after visiting the Garden Railway Show at the Arena as we did not fancy the long drive back to the North East. What attracted us when booking was the walking distance location to the city centre and the on-site free parking. Most reviews were good, some were not-so-good but any fears about these were quickly dispelled on arrival. The staff are great, the room was good and the bed comfortable. add to that an extremely reasonable price tag and a good cooked breakfast, what is there not to like? Yes, there is some road-noise (it is in the city centre after all!) but this dies down once Peterborough has gone to bed! OK, one or two things could, as always (and virtually anywhere) be improved but I have to say we'll stop here again.

Queensgate Peterborough

The queensgate is a clean friendly hotel. Good value for the money,it's not the ritz but for the price offers good sized rooms, friendly helpful staff, and is clean and well maintained for an older building. First stayed here 2 years ago when the hotel i wanted wasnt available and did not regret it,only place we stay now in Peterborough and we've been several times now and going back in july for our second anniversary its where we first met and we enjoy staying there and call it our hotel now :) Just off from the town center so its quiter and less traffic but only 5 mnutes walk into the town center and ideal for the willow festival in july. much better than the generic hotels in the center.

My stay

Posted 23-Dec-2014
The food menu is limited, the room had sash windows which meant there was noise from the road. On a plus point the staff were helpful.
