excellent staff

Posted 08-Jun-2015
Pros: Staff
Cons: The room had a big damp patch on the ceiling and it was a bit noisy at night.
Staff were fantastic and could not have been more helpful. They stored a bike for us overnight and were friendly and welcoming.

Poor management.

Posted 13-May-2015
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Customer care and Car parking.
Location: Entrance to the hotel is very poor visible because a big tree is blocking your view and you can have accident.
Receptionist at the hotel not helpful at all. We asked information about the Body massage the day we arrived and they don't have a clue of how much it costs even we told them what it says on their website they said no we can't do it for that price. Later we agreed with the price for the following day and got an appointment for 5:30pm but when we arrived at the hotel by 5pm the guy at the reception told us they have gone home because you did not pay advance. We told him when we booked in the morning no one asked us for advance and now they cancel. What a waist of time.

ABOVE AVERAGE BUT NEEDS SOME ATTENTION

Don't be put off by the outside - it needs an upgrade as does the corridor carpet, but the room was clean and fresh, with very comfortable bed and quiet so a good nights sleep. Excellent breakfast freshly cooked to order.

Queensgate hotel

We chose this hotel because it was an "independent" and not a chain. It was very clean; staff were cheerful. We had dinner in the restaurant which was excellent. Breakfast was also very good and plentiful. All very clean.

Enjoyable Stay

Posted 13-Apr-2015
Pros: thje staff were great. Walking distance to City Centre. On site free parking.
We stopped here after visiting the Garden Railway Show at the Arena as we did not fancy the long drive back to the North East. What attracted us when booking was the walking distance location to the city centre and the on-site free parking. Most reviews were good, some were not-so-good but any fears about these were quickly dispelled on arrival. The staff are great, the room was good and the bed comfortable. add to that an extremely reasonable price tag and a good cooked breakfast, what is there not to like? Yes, there is some road-noise (it is in the city centre after all!) but this dies down once Peterborough has gone to bed! OK, one or two things could, as always (and virtually anywhere) be improved but I have to say we'll stop here again.
