"When you book a hotel you always read reviews with a pinch of salt. This hotel has fantastic reviews and with good reason. Everything from the welcome to our departure was absolutely first class without exception. A few members of staff deserve a special mention - Bernard, Mtoto, Nema and Baracka all helped make our stay extra special. The staff in general are exceptional including the kitchen staff who turn out superb food time after time and catered to my wife’s vegetarian requirements...

"Nice place to stay, however u can hear the noise from the hallway n next door. I wish they had grab bars near the toilet seat which is quite low. Older people with arthritic knees like me would have problem rising from the seat. Other than that the hotel is very pleasant. "

"The property is hidden, and a small walk from the main Tembo hotel, but what makes up for it is the wonderful staff. Their friendliness, and willing to assist you at everything. The breakfast menu was amazing, a mix of everything which was very pleasant. The rooms can use alittle bit of an upgrade, and they should probably prohibit photo sessions from people on the streets, as there was alot of flash on the outside (but maybe an exception because of the public holiday). I would definitely stay...

"Staff was friendly and accommodating. Chose the hotel for proximity to airport since I had a 3am flight. (Walkable distance but not in the middle of the night) Their charge for the 3min drive was exorbitant, so I arranged on my own. "

"I loved the botanical atmosphere of this hotel. I had a massive double room on the ground floor surrounded by plants which made it magical!! Pool area was relaxing. My favourite was the rooftop restaurant which had beautiful views of the seafront. I would definitely come back here. The location was very central to exploring Stone Town."
