About Skegness’s Fantasy Island

As well as over 30 rides, the park is known for its huge seven-day market, seasonal events and family-friendly activities, such as crazy golf and bowling. What To See and Do at Skegness’s Fantasy Island

### The rides

Fantasy Island’s biggest draw is its rollercoasters. Vertical loops, twisting sidewinders and stomach-lurching drops, the park has four major coasters: The Odyssey, Millennium, Ice Mountain and Rhombus Rocket.

Two of the park’s other major rides, The Starflyer, a 70m vertical swing ride, and the Volcano, a star shot ride which fires screaming thrill-seekers 55m into the air, are not for the faint of heart. Other classic rides include the log flume, carousel, dodgems and the balloon ride.

### The attractions

Besides the rides, Fantasy Island has a whole host of fun attractions for kids of all ages. There’s the Lava Creek Adventure Golf challenge, an 18-hole dinosaur-themed crazy golf game, go karts and tenpin bowling, as well as indoor soft play.

For some classic seaside fun, head to park’s huge arcade or one of the many game stalls – think hook-a-duck and darts – which are scattered throughout the park.

The market
———-

Fantasy Island is home to Europe’s largest seven-day market, with over 320 stalls selling toys, clothes, electricals, sports gear, garden equipment and much more besides. The market is open every day from March to November, and is free to enter whether you plan to visit the theme park or not.

Feeling peckish? There are plenty of food stalls within the market, including a specialist chocolate shop and a Jamaican chicken shack.

You can also buy wristbands for the rides within the market.

### Mystic Mountain

This fun, free show takes place within the upper level of the pyramid area at 2pm and 6pm. The show uses 3D technology and projection mapping to tell the magical story of Skegness’s Fantasy Island. A good one for the whole family, the show is screened on a spectacular 40ft canvas, hoisted high above spectators’ heads.

### Events

The Fantasy Island runs events, parties and themed days across the year. The biggest parties include the Easter Weekend Party, with fun Easter-themed activities and a meet and greet with the Easter Bunny; the Beach Party, which marks the beginning of the summer season in July; and the Opening Party in March.

What’s more, there are regular firework displays throughout July and August, while during October, things turns spooky, with “Fear Island” taking over the park.

There are loads of special offers to take advantage of too – on Mother’s Day and Father’s Day, mums and dads ride free!
