Hotel Le Marias, New Orleans
———————————

Chosen by: Melissa from Diary of a Jewellery Lover

“New Orleans has some amazing restaurants for refined Southern American cooking. Hotel Le Marias is a chic modern boutique hotel, in a quiet area but still in the heart of the French Quarter. It’s a short walk to Muriel’s in Jackson Square, which serves refined Creole cuisine. But watch out for the ghost, as the restaurant is reputedly haunted. You can also stroll to the Monteleone hotel for a perfect Sazerac cocktail. If you think your head is spinning after one too many, it’s not – it’s just the rotating bar!”

Park Plaza, Cardiff
————————

Chosen by: Portia from Pip and the City

“I love a luxurious hotel stay, which is why one of my favourite places is the Park Plaza in Cardiff. You can enjoy a stylish stay right in the city centre of Cardiff. This stunning 129 room four-star hotel offers a health spa with swimming pool, bubbly spa bath and deluxe treatment rooms.

“The best thing about Park Plaza for me is enjoying a glass of wine outside on their peaceful private terrace. It’s like a little sanctuary in the heart of the city. Make sure you try one of the afternoon teas at the award-winning Laguna Kitchen & Bar. They are a proper ‘tower of loveliness’, with a superb selection of sweet treats.”

Chosen by: Simon from OMOTG

“For those of you looking for the perfect luxury retreat to escape the hectic city nine-to-five life, I can think of no better place than the beautiful 5-Star Park Hyatt Mallorca built into the side of a mountain overlooking Canyamel and designed to resemble a traditional Mallorquin hilltop village.

“With generously sized, beautifully fitted guestrooms and four fabulous restaurants, you will have plenty to look forward to each day, not to mention the fabulous Serenitas Spa and fully equipped fitness centre.”

Grand Hotel, Oslo
———————-

Chosen by: Keri from Ladies What Travel

“Since opening its doors in 1874, the Grand Hotel Oslo has hosted everyone from artists and celebrities to world leaders and Nobel Prize winners.

“Inside, classical staircases and marble floors contrast with the ultra modern bar, complete with a neon homage to Edvard Munch’s The Scream. Be sure to visit the Palmen restaurant for one of Norway’s most luxurious afternoon tea experiences!”
