Take Your Brick: Hotels for a LEGO-Themed Break

“Loved equally by design enthusiasts, toy collectors and kids everywhere (both big and small), that humble classic, the LEGO brick, celebrates its 60th birthday in 2018. That means all kinds of events and initiatives to mark the anniversary, both in LEGO’s homeland of Denmark and around the world. You could look for one near you – or you could go all out and plan a whole LEGO-themed break to visit one of the many LEGO parks and resorts around the world. Check out where you could go with these five hotels.

Hotel LEGOLAND, Billund, Denmark
————————————-

For the ultimate LEGO-themed break, take a trip to its birthplace, Billund in Denmark. It’s where LEGO is made today, and the whole town centres around the stuff. Billund is home to the first of the company’s seven theme parks, and that’s where you’ll find Hotel LEGOLAND. In the heart of the park, it doesn’t get more LEGO than this. Pick a themed room: Ninjago, Knights, Adventure, or Princesses. You’ll also get VIP access to the theme park.

Hotel Svanen, Billund, Denmark
———————————–

With everything from the theme park to tours of LEGO HQ, Billund has no shortage of attractions for LEGO fans young and old. Family-friendly Hotel Svanen is close to LEGOLAND, but it’s also near the new and rather incredible LEGO House and shops galore. This modern hotel has great dining options and children’s play areas – with LEGO, of course.

The family-oriented Festive Hotel offers fun, bright rooms with loft beds for the children, a fantastic pool and a LEGO shop in the foyer. It’s close to Universal Studios too, so an ideal base for LEGO-loving families looking for a more extended holiday that capitalises on fun.

Pretty much next-door to the NEC, the Genting Hotel is a luxury hotel with a gorgeous spa right in the heart of Birmingham’s entertainment resort.
