Vila Nova Hotel is a really solid option, especially for a traveler spending most of their time going off on adventures. The location is good, parking is convenient, the pool is well maintained and the breakfast is decent. My advice to to hotel management: Consider updating some of the decor. I looked it up, and the hotel is built in the early 2000s, and it looks it. I think you wouldn't have to spend much time to significantly upgrade the feeling of the place. My thanks to all the staff, we had a great time staying there and exploring the island.

The location was perfect! The accommodations were very nice; it was perfect for four adults. The communication was consistent and clear on how to check in / check out. It included a full mini kitchen so you have the luxury of bringing in your own snacks, but if you don´t, they have snacks and a refrigerated minibar available. Breakfast was included and delivered at a time

Our stay at Moinho da Areia was absolutely wonderful! The historic property is beautiful, the bedding was highly comfortable, and you cannot beat the direct beach access. What truly made our trip special was the innkeeper, Cristina. She is fantastic! She prepared a delicious daily breakfast and went out of her way to help us with special requests, even providing a travel converter when we realized we forgot ours. A local music festival did impact our stay, making it less quiet than we had originally hoped for. However, the property hosts proactively informed us of the event well prior to our arrival, so we really appreciated the honest communication and great service!
