Lagoa Azul

Very nice and spacious apartment in a good, quiet location. Parking is a big plus. Communication with the host was flawless. Thank you!

This hotel was a bit odd. The main parts of the hotel and the outside areas (pool, spa, garden, etc) were quite nice. The pineapple greenhouse with the hottub was a bit sketchy, but we enjoyed a soak after a big hike one day. Room and bathroom not as expected from photos, a bit run down but servicable. Because it is a "nature" hotel there were odd bar shampoos and lotions (which left me wishing I had brought my own) and if you wanted a new pool towel it was 5 euros...but the robes were nice and they left a welcome gift in our room to recognized a special occaision, which was lovely of them. The place felt understaffed...one poor bartender serving all of the bar, dining room and the outdoor pool area (which was a hike for him), and one waitress managing the whole restaurant at dinner and breakfast. Food was pretty good at magma and in the bar. We were disappointed that the front desk staff rarely said hello as we passed by or as we were coming and going throughout the day. For a smallish hotel, it was inpersonal. We were expecting more for the price honestly...overall has a lot of potential but was just OK.

People who run it are great. Nice restaurant right next door. Great room and facilities. Excellent service
