my husband and I came to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary, 1st time in Kauai must say the location is really close to airport and still had no complaints, I must say that I prob won’t be staying here at the sonesta since I will be traveling with my teens and almost 10 year old next time and I know for a fact that they will prob be bored, I wish the property had like a game room or more activities for teens since they get easily get bored, but other then that it was great

We love this property! This is our second trip to Kauai and both times we stayed at this Marriott. The pools are saltwater and so relaxing to be in. We enjoyed the hot tub too. This property is located directly off Poipu Beach. Right down the beach you can see the turtles at sunset and the occasional monk seals. Many of the people who stay there are time share owners but we are not. We basically had a nice hotel room. The reasoning for the 4 stars was our AC. We had maintenance come in on 4 different occasions as the temperature would get up to 78 and not get any cooler. So we had 3-4 mornings trying to get dressed and it made the bathroom very warm. Al least in the bedroom we had the ceiling fan to keep the air circulating. The office did give us a credit on our bill for the AC issues.
