Due to the amount of driving involved we decided to spend one night in Hilo and selected the Hilo Hawaiian. The property was clean and staff were pleasant and helpful. However the hotel is showing it's age. The furniture was beat up, curtains thin in spots and the sink had a crack. The amenities were very basic - TV, mini-fridge and hair dryer.
