Found great shaved ice at the Aloha General Store. We stayed in the king bed room, which was clean and mostly comfortable, but gets baked in the sun from sunrise. I appreciate the attempt at eco-friendliness, and we support that, but overall our visit was disappointing. The photos on Hotels.com definitely DID NOT match the room. I'm not sure how any of the rooms could have had an ocean view - we certainly didn't get one. We booked a room with a king and got a queen at best, maybe even a double. Zero view, but we didn't really care about that. There are 2 communal bathrooms, but one toilet was clogged when we got there and still clogged when we left. And the rules ... man, there are a lot of rules. Closing the kitchen for 11 hours (including refrigerator access) is pretty crazy. We were laughing at some of the other ones because they were so ridiculous. The cabanas might be nice for glamping (they looked cute), and we might try one of those at a decent price. The amenities were exactly as described. I will return, for sure. What I do advise is that you immediately clarify with the property regarding your accommodations after booking through Expedia.
