Evergreen Lodge Yosemite

"A magical stay"
We had such a lovely stay at this beautiful lodge! We sadly only stayed one night, and have vowed to come back again for a longer visit. The cabin we had was very clean and comfy - even though it rained and thundered mightily that night, we felt safe and warm. (The rain was a wonderful blessing, as it meant we had views of stunning waterfalls the next day despite the fall being a time of year when the waterfalls are often not active - fabulous!) The restaurant was amazing - we never expected to be treated to such a unique and delicious dinner in such a remote area. This restaurant would do a major city proud, so they must be bursting with pride that they have such a talented chef on this property. And the complimentary after-dinner s'mores around a fire in the courtyard was such a fun touch. All in all, our stay was delightful, though way too short. We highly recommend it!

Pine Rose Inn

"Pine Rose Inn ~ getting off the beaten path"
Pine Rose Inn is an excellent place to get off the beaten path and enjoy some peace, relaxation and quiet. The private patio with table & umbrella was a nice touch along with the hot tub. The location had park like grounds and landscaping. This place is slightly out of town for peace and quiet but close to town to run to the grocery store. It was great to be able to run to town and pick-up some dinner food from the store and then come back and barbeque at the inn. The lady who runs the place is very hospitable and friendly.

Yosemite View Lodge

Very close to Yosemite Valley. Has indoor and outdoor pools, pizza is good. Staff very helpful. If your room is facing the main road, you can really hear the cars going to and from Yosemite'a entrance.

With views as good as these, shouldn’t your accommodation look great too? Yosemite National Park’s mountain backdrops and charming small towns might be the stars of the show, but with a little searching you’ll discover a range of impressive design hotels, from remote resorts with beautiful modern rooms to classic American motels. Whatever your style, you’ll find a Yosemite design hotel to suit you.

Stunning Design Hotels in Yosemite National Park

Design hotels are all about individuality, and each design hotel in Yosemite National Park has its own reasons for standing out. Look for unique features such as private balconies with river views, outdoor hot tubs, granite countertops and dining tables in rose gardens. Most of the design accommodation in and around Yosemite is in the towns and villages directly west, south or east of the park.

    Cultural Activities near Yosemite

Visiting Yosemite National Park is most people’s number one reason to come to the area. However, there are a wealth of cultural things to see and do in the surrounding towns and villages. Sonora, for example, has two lively theatres, a cinema and several excellent museums. Mariposa, Jamestown, Groveland and Oakhurst all have museums too, and it’s worth visiting Yosemite Museum in the park itself – it’s a good example of rustic architecture, and features displays about the native Miwok and Paiute people.

Buy Local Art from Yosemite Galleries

If you’re looking for art and design souvenirs from Yosemite National Park, you’ll find galleries in Mariposa and Oakhurst. They’re independent, small-scale operations that sell work by local artists and craftspeople.

    History and Festivals in Jamestown

Jamestown is particularly worth a visit if you have an interest in history – it was a major Gold Rush town and has a very well preserved town centre, as well as an outdoor museum packed with vintage trains. In summer you’ll find lots of fairs, concerts and wine tastings in the area, as well as all the usual Yosemite outdoor adventures.

Choose a stay in a design hotel near the stunning Yosemite National Park for a fantastic holiday - both indoors and out.
