"Well! Can I call it a hidden gem? I think I can. The exterior of the hotel may give a misleading impression as you approach it. However, once you step inside, it’s a whole different story! You’re greeted by a modern reception area, a spacious lobby, a pub, and a restaurant. Everything looks brand new, although I was informed that the full refurbishment took place about a year ago. The interior is incredibly spacious, making it comfortable wherever you choose to go. The furniture and appliances have a fresh, colourful, modern style that really stands out. The room was large and immaculate. There was just one minor design flaw in the bathroom: the heated towel rack was positioned above the toilet. I'm not sure why it was placed there. The variety and quality of the food were excellent. Plus, there’s a pool! Overall, my daughter and I loved our stay!"

"At check-in and during the stay, staff was very helpful and friendly. At breakfast time however, it was pure chaos. We were queueing to be seated but only one staff was on hand to clear and clean tables while trying to find seats for guests. Food and plates ran out but no one was at hand to replenish stocks quickly enough. Staff was lovely, but seemed clueless as if there was no organisation amongst them. They need to be better managed and on the ball. Breakfast experience therefore turned out to be quite stressful."

"We came to Mercure Bristol North for one night . The staff were very friendly and welcoming as soon as we walked in. The room was clean and comfortable and a very reasonable cost. We only had a light breakfast as we were booked for lunch with friends on our way home but all looked fresh and filling. Location wise, it’s within a few miles from M4, so convenient."
