Room had no air conditioning, just a small single fan, it was unbearable we couldn’t sleep. The place needs some investment and updating. Wonderful grounds for our dog. Staff and bar food was excellent

The staff were very helpful and gave us a room on the ground floor at our request. The room on the 4th floor was too hot. Breakfast was very good.

Set in beautiful grounds, good hearty breakfast clean bedding and towels. Hotel is a lovely old place and would benefit from a slight redecorate. Carpets need to be cleaned at the edges if this was done then 5 star from me. I will stay again next time I am in the area. Good night's sleep on very comfy beds
We came to Mercure Bristol North for one night . The staff were very friendly and welcoming as soon as we walked in. The room was clean and comfortable and a very reasonable cost. We only had a light breakfast as we were booked for lunch with friends on our way home but all looked fresh and filling. Location wise, it’s within a few miles from M4, so convenient.
We stayed in room 309 which was lovely. The bed was very comfy and huge! The bathroom was clean and well stocked with the little extras that make a difference (shower cap, comb, shaving kit, toothbrush, sewing kit). We had a meal in the restaurant and Hannah looked after us well, very friendly and helpful. Overall the staff were excellent and we would stay again.

Beautiful manor house style building in vast and lush parkland. Rather tired in parts but still has that stately feel about it - especially the sitting/lounge area. Winding drive up to parking and reception rather potholed. Good breakfast variety and freshness. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Big rooms but en suite rather dated. That said it was a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

The hotel is in a beautiful location, the staff are very helpful and friendly, but the hotel is let down a bit by needing to be renovated in places. The dinner and breakfast were great.
Our original “superior” room was large, but very tired. The radiator was stuck on, and it was a really hot day. The reception staff promptly moved us to what was actually a better more modern room and thoughtfully compensated us.
The hotel could be a very classy venue if the hotel management invested more in the decor and upkeep of the place.
Very pleasant overnight stay. The staff were very attentive and friendly especially the staff at the restaurant. Very good breakfast with several options and choice.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and my meal at dinner was nice. Unfortunately the ceiling lights and lamp in my room did not work, so I had to rely on the one by the door. The decor needs a bit of TLC and the rooms are not well soundproofed so I could clearly hear the person upstairs walking and even turning in bed. I was also put in a room that adjoined with another which the staff did go to efforts to reassure and demonstrate that you could not access the room from the other side, however as a woman travelling alone, it wasn’t a preferable set up for me.
Really friendly staff - great breakfast very fresh. Thanks you

Plenty of parking...the grounds are absolutely stunning. Staff friendly and helpful...we had a nice stay but the bedrooms and a lot of the public areas look a bit tired and in need of some refurbishment.

friendly staff, comfortable room and good value.
This was our base as we visited family in the area and had everything we needed - friendly staff, comfortable room and good value.
Perfect placed hotel for our needs with easy access into Bristol and also the Cotswolds. Good, friendly staff. Beautiful setting. Hotel a little tired but clean.
Excellent stay, clean, cosy and hygienic facilities. Restaurant was amazing where we had dinner and food was delicious. Surrounded by a lot of nature and wonderful sceneries
