"Brilliant place to stay as a family, very clean and lovely place to stay, location by a private farm in the sticks you’re surrounded by grass, views, water and horses it’s beautiful. Great size accommodation and with modern kitchen and bathroom making staying here great. Located close to mainly areas, Beamish, Newcastle, Durham etc. Can’t recommend this place enough a lovely cozy warm stay."

"Had an amazing stay at Whorlton Lodge. Very spacious and very clean was a home from home. We will definitely be returning in the summer. The views were beautiful from the front windows. The enclosed gardens was amazing for our dog milo who had a lovely time playing in the garden and exploring. Keith was lovely and so helpful!"

"A clean, comfortable, warm and cosy place to stay - felt like home from home Perfectly located for exploring the area. Kitchen very well-equipped, has everything you could possibly need. Beds incredibly comfortable with beautiful linen. Hosts incredibly helpful and responded immediately to any queries. Even the residents of Castleton couldn't have been more friendly and helpful! "Wonderful and well organised property from the comprehensive instruction file covering every gadget in the property to the motion sensor lights which switch on automatically as you walk in the kitchen. "We weren’t expected until the following day. Therefore our apartment was not prepared for us. Heating and fridge hadn’t been turned on. The rooms were dull and disappointing. Although everywhere seemed clean we kept finding used tissues in the bathroom, under the bed and tucked down the sofa."

"We have a lovely stay at the cottage. We went as two couples and two dogs. The cottage was lovely and the addition of the hot tub was great. The grounds of the hotel were nice too. The back yard is accessed through the twin bedroom and that is a bit inconvenient but manageable. The cottage could do with a few finishing touches, such as lights outside, door mats, but overall it was clean and comfortable."
