Lillium House
4.0 star property
8.4 out of 10, Very good, (5)
"Well. What strange accommodation. Booked 2 nights about 3 weeks prior to going. When we arrive nobody there. We rang and got told she didn’t realise we were staying then admitted she hadn’t checked any emails. We were told to go next door to get her elderly mum to come and unlock. Her lovely mum bless her had shall we say had memory problems. Anyway. We were sitting in her house being baby sat by an old lady as we weren’t aloud in house by ourselves. This was the first break we had this year....

"This was a complete disaster. It took us 2 hours to find this place. No signage from the road and impossible to locate. When we finally did find it, they didn't have a booking for us and hadn't heard from your group...bitterly disappointing. We ended up staying at the Marriott at twice the price. Please ensure that we are not billed for this disaster."

"My partner and I stayed for an evening while visiting Durham. The room and staff exceeded our expectations. Both the bedroom and bathroom were tastefully designed and extremely spacious. We were lucky enough to have a view of the cathedral. Breakfast was of very high quality and served in a very pleasant environment. The staff were very polite and sought to help us at every opportunity. Would love to visit again. "

"Property needed a deep clean. I sneezed a lot and had black dust come out of my nose. Heating didn’t work sometimes and the room was quite cold. I booked through Expedia and check out said 11 am and I wasn’t told any check out time by the owner. On the morning of check out a cleaner knocked at the door and we shouted we were still inside. I popped to the loo and finished packing my back when the cleaner knocked again which I thought was odd so I double checked on my emails and then clarified the...
