"Basic but clean"
We did our research into this hotel before booking it and knew that:- 1. It is located in an industrial estate about 1 mile out of town - but we like a walk 2. It was a budget hotel - we like to save money 3. It might have dated décor - we were there to sleep, not stay in the room all weekend 4. It would be warm and clean - it was 5. It was en-suite - the shower was a power shower and was brilliant 6. There would be tea and coffee in the room - there was 7. There weren't many sockets to plug our devices into - there wasn't - suggest you take a 4-gang if you want to charge 2 phones overnight 8. It had a bar and restaurant, should we need them - we didn't, so cannot comment on the price/quality/service 9. It had a large free car park - which was great 10. The staff were really friendly and helpful - they were. Would we stay here again ... yes, we would.

"Pleasant Pub in lovely surroundings "
The White Lion Inn is a warm inviting pub centrally located in Hebden Bridge. We had an evening meal at The White Lion which was very enjoyable and a full English breakfast (included in price of stay) There are plenty of good pubs also within walking distance and on the Sunday there was a small market selling local foods and goods as well as some world foods. There is also an excellent bakers on the corner of the square and a cashpoint. There is a great choice of cask ales and ciders around Hebden Bridge. Also had a trip to Todmorden and had a carvery at The Queen Hotel just outside the train station which is recommended.

Pocket Guide: Pet Friendly Hotel in West Yorkshire

Heading off on holiday is always great fun and exciting. The only drawback for many families is that when they do so they're effectively forced to leave their pet behind with friends or in a kennel. This is not an ideal situation, as a pet dog is as much a part of the family as one of the children! The kids may also be especially unhappy about leaving Fido at home. The great news for those finding themselves in this predicament is that West Yorkshire pet-friendly hotels extend a warm welcome to pets as well as humans, and have the facilities needed to make all species of guest welcome. You can take your pet with you now when you travel to West Yorkshire, and it's a county perfectly suited to dogs with its wide open spaces and beautiful landscapes.
